Natick Real Estate

The Town of Natick, Massachusetts is a residential and industrial community whose historic roots stretch back before the American Revolution. Natick is located 18 miles west of Boston and is directly accessible by major highways such as the Massachusetts Turnpike Route 90 and the commercially built up stretch of Route 9.

Natick is famous for its Minutemen Company. Membership in the Natick Minutemen and Needham West Militia Company is open to anyone who is interested in becoming a part of the celebration of Natick's history. The present-day Company of Minuteman Re-enactors was founded to celebrate and memorialize Natick and Wellesley's rich 18th and 17th Century history. The original Natick, Massachusetts Company of Minutemen was established on March 6th, 1775.

Natick features an abundance of open space and recreation land among its complex of ponds. Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary offers nine miles of walking trails and guides visitors through a variety of field, woodland, and wetland habitats. Recently added to the sanctuary is a quarter mile trail and boardwalk that runs along the bank of Indian Brook and over the marsh, which is a great spot for bird watching, photography, and drawing nature.

A popular winter activity is snowshoeing along the edge of Indian Brook, which flows into the Charles River at the sanctuary where beavers, otters, and wood ducks can be spotted from the 110-foot-long bridge over Indian Brook.

In addition to its convenient proximity to major highways, Natick has direct commuter rail service to Back Bay Station and South Station, Boston. Travel time to Back Bay Station is 33-36 minutes. Natick is also a member of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), which provides THERIDE, a transit service for the elderly and disabled. Natick Neighborhood Bus provides service within the town and to Framingham Shoppers' World.

Natick's excellent public school system includes a number of state-of-the-art facilities within the town. There are five elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Additionally members of the community may take advantage of Natick's Bacon Free Library on Eliot Street.

Natick is a thriving, ever-growing community with every appeal of a suburban town just minutes from the culture and opportunity of Boston. Home prices in this desirable town range from $200,000 to $800,000. Housing options vary from garden style condo/townhouses to modest single-family homes and even a selection of stately new constructions on large-scale lots.
