Gardner Real Estate

Gardner, “the furniture capital of New England” and “the chair capital of the world” is a city still active in its historic industry of furniture making. Visitors come to the community to shop at its numerous furniture outlets. However, the city has diversified its economy and has other manufacturing and non-manufacturing activity. Though it is chair making that put this city on the map and the Gardner museum showcases fine examples of the local industry's products. The museum is located in the Levi Heywood Memorial Library, an ornate Romanesque building in the Gardner Uptown National Register Historic District.

Gardner is home to Mt. Wachusett Community College and Heywood Hospital that provide the community with education and health services. Additionally, Gardner has its own public school district served by three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Other community features include a golf course, hiking and bike paths along the North Central Pathway and community swimming facilities at the Greenwood Memorial Bath House. Operated since 1915, this facility hosts a swim club that trains competitive swimmers.

Gardner is situated in North Central Massachusetts. Worcester is 28 miles to the southeast and Boston is 59 miles away.
