There is trash removal, water and sewer service, as well as health and human services for its ethnically diverse population of 28,000 residents. Chelsea also has an excellent public school system of nine elementary and middle schools, and one high school.
The community, covering approximately two square miles, features a wide variety of housing options and architectural styles side-by-side. Condominiums in large buildings or converted from formerly single and multi-family buildings are available starting in the $180,000-$200,000 range. Single family homes average in the 300's. Two or three multi-family homes in this active rental market start in the mid-300's.
