Incorporated in 1735, the town of Acton features a variety of historic homes, many with dating to the time of the area's first settlers in the early 1700's. Numerous monuments in town commemorate local participation in the American Revolution and Civil War. Additionally there are many newly constructed homes. Home prices start in the mid-100's for a modest one bedroom condo and the mid 300's for a single family. Larger homes on over-sized lots cost in the $600,000-$800,000 range.
Acton's accessibility to other towns and to the city of Boston hasn't compromised its charm as a postcard New England town to be enjoyed in all four seasons.
